Family stability depends on more than a housing payment. Relationships, school connections, everyday essentials and access to community services all matter. Community Services is part of the Family Promise model and complements our shelter, housing-navigation and stabilization work.
Beaverton Buddies
Beaverton Buddies helps families access necessary resources, supplies and everyday essentials. When families receive items they would otherwise need to purchase, they can keep more of their limited income available for rent, utilities and other priorities. This practical support helps reduce financial pressure and supports housing stability.
Support is based on each family’s needs and the supplies and resources currently available. Families participating in our programs can ask their case manager about Beaverton Buddies and connections to other community resources.
Resources for everyday needs
Our resource guide brings together food, diapers, household supplies, utilities, education, employment and other local services. Listings explain who a resource may help and how to start, including referral information when available.
How the community can help
Volunteers, faith communities, businesses and local organizations contribute time, skills, supplies and relationships. Opportunities should reflect the current needs of families and the capacity of program staff.
