Sweets for a Cause 2025

Love was in the air—and so was the scent of freshly baked treats—at our Sweets for a Cause event on February 11th at the Beaverton Resource Center. This Valentine’s Day-themed bake-off brought together talented bakers, enthusiastic tasters, and community supporters, all in the spirit of giving back.

Ten bakers showcased their skills, whipping up an array of delectable desserts for the 75 attendees to sample and judge. From chocolates to cupcakes, the competition was both fierce and delicious. After much tasting and deliberation, the winners of the bake-off were announced:

🥇 1st Place: Marge Proctor won a 7-Day vacation voucher to a resort of her choice with from her decadent heart-shaped caramel chocolates 🥈 2nd Place: Orange Chikkalingaiah won a $100 gift certificate t Copper River Restaurant in Hillsboro with her colorful macarons 🥉 3rd Place: Becky Reed won a $50 gift card to Decadent Creations pastries with her "Lovey Dovey" cupcakes
